GODSMACK Frontman Wants To Tour With AC/DC
May 4, 2007Launch Radio Networks reports: GODSMACK begins a spring U.S. tour on Friday night (May 4) in Louisville, Kentucky, with dates scheduled well into June and July. Although singer Sully Erna feels that GODSMACK are headliners in their own right these days, there's still one band he'd like to open for. "Four letters. A-C-D-C," he told Launch. "That's the only one left. We've toured with SABBATH, we've toured with METALLICA, and there's very few bands that we feel that we would open for. And we've been blessed with touring with what we feel are some of the best bands that we grew up listening to. But AC/DC is the last of it. If we had an opportunity to tour with AC/DC, we'd do that in a heartbeat."
GODSMACK is still touring in support of its 2006 album, "IV". The set's latest single is "The Enemy".
ANOTHER ANIMAL, the side project featuring GODSMACK guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill and drummer Shannon Larkin, will release its debut album in September, with a single going to radio in July.
Sully Erna published his first memoir, called "The Paths We Choose", in February.
Erna was involved in a three-car accident on April 11, when his Hummer H3 rear-ended another car and seriously injured a 25-year-old woman.
